- Rested and refreshed. Get plenty of sleep. Go to bed at a regular time every day and practice good habits to get better sleep. Sleep restores both mind and body. However, the feeling of fatigue may still lie in if you feel constantly rushed and overwhelmed when you are awake. Allow yourself some unfocussed time each day to refresh; as an example, let your mind wander, daydreaming or just watch the clouds go up for a while. It's OK to add a 'do nothing for to-do list!
- Note the here and now. Take a moment to look at each of your senses every day. Just 'be' in the moment-feel of the sun and wind on your face and notice the air you breathe. It's easy to caught up thinking about the past or planning for the future is not experiencing the present. Practicing mindfulness, by concentrating you are at this moment, is a good way to do this. Make a conscious effort to be aware of you and the outside world is important for your mental health.
- Ask for help. This can be as simple as asking a friend to keep while you have a time out or talk to the doctor (GP) about where to find services or community mental health counselor. There is no perfect life, free from worries. The journey of life everyone has a wavy pieces and the people around you can help. If you do not get the help you need first, keep asking until you do.
